Data processing on this website

Server logs: When you access this website, the hosting provider automatically stores server log files (e.g. IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent). These logs are required to deliver the site and protect against misuse. They are automatically deleted within seven days unless a security incident requires longer retention.

No analytics / tracking: I do not use cookies, third-party analytics, remarketing or advertising trackers.

Contact form and email: If you submit the contact form or send me an email, I process the personal data you provide (typically name, email address, message contents) in order to respond to your inquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Messages are stored in my email inbox and deleted when they are no longer required, subject to statutory retention obligations.

Legal bases

Data is processed on the following legal bases under the GDPR:

  • Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR – performance of a contract or steps prior to entering into a contract (responding to inquiries).
  • Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – legitimate interests (ensuring the security and availability of the website).
  • Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR – compliance with legal obligations (e.g. tax or commercial law retention periods).

Recipients & international transfers

My hosting and infrastructure providers process data on my behalf under GDPR-compliant agreements. Data is primarily processed within the European Union. Should data be transferred outside the EU/EEA, I ensure appropriate safeguards (Art. 46 GDPR).

Data retention

I retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described above or as required by statutory retention periods. Server logs are usually deleted within seven days; correspondence is kept for up to six years (commercial law obligations) unless earlier deletion is legally permissible.
